Job summary

SanDisk Malaysia is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support manufacturing lines with hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You will document procedures (FMEA/SOP/WI), investigate line issues, and lead projects to improve machine performance, yield, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years' experience in equipment engineering, and are proficient in data analysis, QC tools, and common

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years working experience in Equipment Engineering.
• Machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.
• Familiar with QC tools: 7QC, MSA, SPC, 8D, DOE.
• Proficient in data analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Document generation (FMEA/SOP/WI) and preventive maintenance.
• Investigation of line abnormalities, quality issues, yield loss; take timely actions.
• Lead KIP projects for machine performance, cost reduction, yield, quality, capacity, productivity.
• Collaborate with Process and NPI teams on machine and product items.
• Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
• Prepare 8D reports and presentations for QAF/RMA cases.
• Support other functions for key projects.

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Machine troubleshooting and perform preventive maintenance.
• Documents (FMEA/Training material /SOP/WI) generation, update and preventive maintenance.
• Line abnormal, quality issue, yield loss investigation and in time action taken.
• Lead KIP projects on machine performance improvement, cost reduction, yield, quality, capacity and productivity improvements.
• Work with Process and NPI team on machine and product related items.
• Machine/tooling buy-off and standardization.
• Follow up customer audit and action implementation.
• Prepare 8D and presentation for QAF/RMA cases.
• Support other function teams for key projects. Qualification:

Required

• Bachelor or above in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred

• 3-5 years working experience in Equipment Engineering related.

Skills

• Machine/ mechanical knowledge in design and optimization.
• Experienced in Inspection Machine.
• Expertized in data analysis, and problem solving.
• Be good at QC skill, such as 7QC tools, MSA, SPC, 8D report, DOE etc.
• Familiar with reporting/data analysis software. (PPT, excel, JMP, AUTOCAD)
• Detail and action oriented, self-started, ability to work independently and to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work effectively with multi-functional team member, with good communication skills.
• Good verbal and written in English.
