Job summary

Penang Skills Development Centre is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine upkeep, diagnose, repair, and install equipment and systems. You will ensure safety standards are followed, maintain records, and generate reports on status and repairs.

You may assist in training users and support engineers in troubleshooting engineering products. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply and develop skills on the job.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or software issues.
• Replace or repair faulty components and wiring.
• Install and configure new equipment and systems according to specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with safety standards and guidelines.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to assess problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Prepare reports on equipment status and repair activities.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment and systems are functioning.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent future issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients or internal teams.
• Assist in training users on operation and maintenance.
• Assist engineer for troubleshooting machines on engineering products.
• Any other duties as assigned.
