Foxconn Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd invites applications for the Environment, Health and Safety Executive based in Kulai, Johor. You will provide professional EHS guidance, review incident data, conduct audits, and lead the ERT to uphold strong safety performance.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree, minimum 3 years’ EHS experience, and relevant certifications (OSH Officer, scheduled waste). Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in environment, safety and health.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer (OSH) Reg 1997.
• Competent Person Certificate in scheduled waste management.
• Familiar with OSH and environmental regulations in Malaysia, RBA.
• Able to conduct risk assessments (HIRARC) and implement effective controls.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to lead ERT and work with all levels of employees.
• Prefer ISO14001 or RBA knowledge.
• Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits for EHS compliance.
• Investigate and follow up on incidents, injuries and hazards.
• Support departments in implementing EHS policies, procedures and programs.
• Coordinate with department heads and Safety & Health committee for activities.
• Promote proactive safety culture and continuous EHS improvement.
• Develop and implement injury and incident prevention strategies.
• Monitor compliance with SHE policy and environmental requirements.
• Lead Emergency Response Team (ERT) and assist in emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Ensure compliance to ISO9001/14001 and 27001 policies and standards; liaison with local authorities.
• Any other reasonable task assigned by superior or Management.

Environtment Health and Safety Executive - based in Kulai

Provide professional advice, information and guidance on local Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) matters.

Review and analyse incident, injury and hazard data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to assess compliance with EHS requirements.

Report, investigate and follow up on workplace incidents, injuries, hazard, near misses and identified hazards

Provide support and guidance to departments in the implementation of EHS policies, procedures and programs.

Liaise with the head of departments and Safety & health committee to plan out and carry out activities in line with Management objectives.

Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Develop and implement appropriate injury and incident prevention strategies.

Monitor statutory compliance with SHE policy and procedures

Ensure proper management, documentation and reporting of scheduled waste and other environmental requirements.

Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective actions.

Support in ISO & RBA activities.

Liaise with local authorities pertaining to reporting, auditing, etc.

Lead and coordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Ensure compliance to FTM’s ISO9001/14001 and 27001 policies and standards

Ensure compliance to RBA Code of Conduct

Any other reasonable task assigned by superior or Management

JOB REQUIREMENT

Diploma /Degree in any fields

Min 3 years of relevant working working experience in environment, safety and health field

Registered Safety and Health Officer as Regulation 7, Occupational Safety And Health (Safety and Health Officer ) Reg 1997

Competent Person Certificate in scheduled waste management as Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 5

Well-versed with OSH and Environment regulations/laws of Malaysia, RBA

Able to conduct/review HIRARC/risk assessment, identify hazards and implement effective control measures

Able to communicate well in English & Bahasa Malaysia

Able to lead ERT team to achieve department and company goals

Preferably with ISO14001 or RBA knowledge

Able to work independently and with all level of employee
