Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, executing and the overall management of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives that is in line with the University’s roadmap. The candidate is expected to define regulatory and reputational risk-based approach to implementing ESG requirements that ensure proportionality. The candidate would be involved in the development of a comprehensive regulatory database (UN SDG Goals) and processes to identify and integrate emerging regulations. In addition, the candidate is responsible for the compilation of reporting and collaborating with other faculties / centres / departments / branches to integrate ESG principles.

Requirements:

  • Candidate should possess a recognized Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
  • Candidate should haveminimum 3 year’s working experience in the area of ESG.
  • Candidate should have good knowledge of risk related principles, standards and regulations.
  • Candidate has demonstrated success in implementing the reporting framework.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in ESG-related software and tools is an advantage.

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (‘TAR UMT’) is a premier institution of higher learning in Malaysia set up in 1969 as TAR College by the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) to provide quality and affordable tertiary education to Malaysians.
