Advise on and implement new or existing EHS-related legislation, rules, and regulations to ensure company compliance with DOSH and DOE standards.
Conduct health, safety, and environmental training.
Perform regular prevention inspections.
Handle scheduled waste processes and liaise with external vendors.
Investigate accidents and ensure all documentation is updated.
Develop a monthly HSE communication strategy for all staff levels.
Take full responsibility for preparing for HSE audits and other audits, including ISO-45001 & ISO 14001.
Liaise with operations to initiate and coordinate training plans and update personnel and audit information.
Advise management on health, safety, and environmental compliance matters.
Ensure all advice is incorporated into daily processes and operations.
Conduct incident investigations and reporting.
Manage submission of required documentation.
Ensure the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Plan strategically and implement controls to align with the objectives of the Environmental Management System/Processes.
Requirements:
Green Book Holder is a MUST
Registered as a Safety Officer by DOSH or possess the academic qualifications and eligibility to register as an SHO with DOSH to obtain the Green Book Holder.
Obtain a Competent Person certification in scheduled waste management; additional certification in bag filter handling is an advantage.
Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in related fields or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field is required.
