An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Environmental Specialist to ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental laws and regulations. Job Description

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental laws and regulations (e.g. Environmental Quality Act 1974);
• Liaise with the Department of Environmental (DOE) and other relevant agencies;
• Ensure project adherence to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) conditions (if applicable);
• Conduct regular site inspections and environmental monitoring (noise, air, water, and waste);
• Implement and monitor waste management plans for construction activities;
• Develop and update the project's Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or any related field;
• 2 years in construction industry;
• Competent person in certified environmental professional or have scheduled waste management course;
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian environmental laws and practices;
• Good communication and report writing skills;
• Attention to detail and analytical thinking;
• Able to work independently and with team.
