Job Description
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian environmental laws and regulations (e.g. Environmental Quality Act 1974);
- Liaise with the Department of Environmental (DOE) and other relevant agencies;
- Ensure project adherence to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) conditions (if applicable);
- Conduct regular site inspections and environmental monitoring (noise, air, water, and waste);
- Implement and monitor waste management plans for construction activities;
- Develop and update the project's Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or any related field;
- 2 years in construction industry;
- Competent person in certified environmental professional or have scheduled waste management course;
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian environmental laws and practices;
- Good communication and report writing skills;
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking;
- Able to work independently and with team.
