About the role

As the Environmental Officer at Sonfuat Precision Industries Berhad, you will play a vital role in ensuring the company's operations adhere to all relevant environmental regulations and sustainability best practices. This full-time role is based in Batu Pahat, Johor and will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting on the company's environmental impact.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing environmental management systems and procedures to minimise the company's environmental footprint
• Conducting regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
• Analysing environmental data and preparing detailed reports for management
• Liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations
• Coordinating environmental training and awareness programmes for employees
• Researching and recommending new technologies, processes and initiatives to enhance the company's environmental sustainability

What we're looking for

• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an environmental monitoring or compliance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Thorough understanding of environmental legislation and best practices
• Proficiency in using environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis software
