Environment Sustainability Design (ESD) Engineer/Assistant ESD Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environment Sustainability Design (ESD) Engineer/Assistant ESD Manager to join our team at G Energy Integrated Services Sdn Bhd, based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As an ESD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing sustainable design solutions that contribute to our clients' environmental and energy efficiency goals. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

• Handling and coordinating local and regional environment sustainability design (ESD) projects or green building projects (GreenRE, GBI, GreenMark, etc.) with relevant parties such as clients, main contractors, subcontractors, etc.
• Managing the full spectrum of ESD project management from bid stage through completion, including vendor bidding, procurement, site supervision, project timeline and cost control, reporting, and billing.
• Developing detailed project plans to lead, manage, and deliver ESD projects, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting progress regularly.
• Coordinating with contractors and consultants for system design and equipment selection in compliance with project specifications and objectives.
• Managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs to ensure timely delivery within budget and meeting Green Certifications’ requirements.
• Preparing reports, documents, and records for submission to clients or authorities as required.
• Performing calculations such as ACMV, OTTV, carbon emissions, energy modeling, lighting, indoor air quality, heat balance, and OSE reports for clients or authorities.
• Supporting energy optimization projects, marketing, sales, training, and administrative activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Green Building Certification
• Familiarity with green building standards, ACMV systems, or project management
• Proficiency in English (oral and written) and computer literacy
• Ability to work independently with good technical skills
• Willingness to work on outstation and overseas assignments if required
