Job Summary

If you are a ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY & HEALTH professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan location; you will ensure a safe and healthful workplace for employees, protect the environment from Flow Control and Actuation Technology Operations, assure compliance with applicable Safety, Health and Environmental Laws, regulations and policies, advance concepts of Safety and Environmental stewardship and minimize liability associated with worker’s compensation. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support the company policies, goals and objectives.
  • Establish a “0” injury culture by maintaining training, procedure development, awareness, investigation, and equipment/facilities review processes.
  • Evaluate and control potential workplace health hazards through the establishment and maintenance of a sound industrial hygiene program.
  • Help establish a “0” discharge culture by organizing teams to eliminate waste (hazardous and non-hazardous) and providing technical leadership for waste minimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with applicable regulatory agencies to assure compliance with their regulations.
  • Provide staff leadership for site safety, health, and environmental committees.
  • Plan and implement comprehensive security strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress, performance, and productivity of the CCTV and door access control system operations across all facilities.
  • Manage the performance of contract security personnel.
  • Review written reports and activity summaries of Security Officers for completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as Management Representative (MR) by ensuring all the IMS documentation is well maintained and updated accordingly.
  • Coordinate support to ensure IMS implementation across the organization and ensure the timely delivery of associated underpinning ESH action plans.
  • Assist in the implementation of an effective IMS management system to meet IMS requirements which sets out overall responsibility and accountability for the protection of the environment and employee work-related health and safety.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 10 years ESH experience in a dynamic environment and industrial hygiene experience.
  • Well-versed in Environmental, Safety and Health Law, Act & Regulations of Malaysia.
  • Experienced with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Standards Requirements.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Safety, or Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
