Job summary

Halliburton in Malaysia is seeking an entry-level Operator Assistant I - Service Operator (L&P) to support rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations, recording subsurface information.

You will learn basic oil well operations, BOP procedures, HSE guidelines, and how to assemble logging tools while maintaining equipment and performing inspections. This is the entry level in the service operator family.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Assist during rigging-up/down of surface and down hole logging equipment.
• Learn basic oil well operations and safety procedures.
• Assist operation of well logging equipment at job site.
• Learn to assemble downhole well logging tools.
• Perform pre/post job inspections and related paperwork.
