Job summary

Maxis seeks an Enterprise Solution Architect to drive end-to-end design of telco IT applications, applying digital and AI-native principles and industry standards. You will lead technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure solutions that deliver business value.

The role requires 10+ years in Telco IT, strong API/system integration knowledge, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Solution Architect or similar role, preferably in a large-scale Telco IT environment with more than 10 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems integration, APIs, and interoperability between different telco and IT systems (e.g., BSS/OSS, digital commerce, etc).
• Technical skills: Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
• Data platforms (data lakes/warehouses) and security.
• Soft skills: Analytical and problem solving, strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, and business acumen in telco processes and financial models.

• Solution Design and Architecture: Analyse complex digital telco requirements and existing architectures to determine technical needs; design end-to-end, scalable and secure telco IT solutions integrated with network; develop architectural blueprints.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to implementation and development teams; collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors; act as technical lead to articulate technology positioning.
• Governance: Develop architectural guidelines/standards; ensure security and governance compliance; stay abreast of 5G, AI/ML, and cloud-native trends.

Why does this job exist and why is it critical? The Enterprise Solution Architect drives the end-to-end solution design of telco IT applications with digital and AI-native solution principles adopting telco industry standards (e.g., GSMA, TM Forum). This role demands a strategic thinker with the flexibility to apply a consultative approach in problem-solving across multiple technical domains and business process simplification. The ideal candidate possesses a growth mindset challenging status quo, and has a strong ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solution Design and Architecture Analyse complex digital telco business requirements and existing application architectures (BSS, OSS, digital engagement, data and AI) to determine technical needs. Design end-to-end, scalable and secure telco IT solutions integrated with network that meet functional and technical considerations. Develop architectural blueprints and high-level designs supported by the right technologies and platforms.
2. Technical Leadership and Collaboration Provide technical guidance and leadership to implementation and development teams throughout project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (digital sales and service, product management, engineering, operations) and external vendors to ensure seamless solution integration and delivery. Act as technical point of contact for articulating technology and solution positioning to both technical and business stakeholders.
3. Technology and Architecture Governance Develop and implement architectural and integration guidelines/standards. Ensure architectural integrity and compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and enterprise governance frameworks. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends (e.g., 5G, AI/ML in Telco, cloud-native deployments) to recommend innovative and cost-effective solutions.
