Job summary

SOTATEK Malaysia is seeking an experienced Architect to lead the design of enterprise cloud and network architectures that align with business requirements.

You will develop comprehensive architecture specifications, including compute, storage, and network designs, and prepare sizing models and cost estimations for proposed cloud solutions. You will also craft security architecture, governance, and present submissions for approval, guiding engineers through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing enterprise cloud/network architectures (public, private, or hybrid cloud).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security architecture principles.
• Experience with cost estimation and capacity planning for cloud environments.
• Familiarity with architecture governance processes and committee-based design approval.
• Excellent documentation and technical presentation skills.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect; TOGAF is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop the 'To-Be' infrastructure and network architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Produce detailed architecture specifications, including compute, storage, network, and integration design.
• Prepare cost estimation and sizing models for proposed cloud architectures.
• Design and manage the security architecture, including controls, access models, and compliance alignment.
• Prepare and present submissions to the architecture review committee for design approval.
• Review and validate architecture changes against enterprise standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to administrators and engineers implementing the approved architecture.
