Job Purpose
The Enterprise Architect combines many different skills and experiences to address and solve business, information, and technology-related opportunities and problems.
Accountabilities
- Developing cross-program, cross-project architecture strategies, opportunities, and resolving problems.
- Leading complex development projects.
- Acting as a Project ‘Auditor’ to ensure conformance and compliance of projects and programs with architecture guidelines.
- Defining, implementing, and executing processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Enterprise Architecture.
- Updating and maintaining key Enterprise Architecture deliverables.
- Providing architectural leadership in resolving inter-program and inter-project issues.
- Promoting ongoing publicity and communication of the Enterprise Architecture within the information community and business units.
- Conducting ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential enterprise use.
- Auditing compliance with Enterprise Architecture Standards.
- Advising decision makers and senior management on business and information engagements.
Skills And Knowledge
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Broad background across different sectors, with knowledge in at least one aspect of FSI desirable.
- Facilitation of group sessions.
- Understanding of technology product and vendor strategies, products, and customer preferences.
- Skills in analysis and design.
- Proficiency in modeling, graphical representations, and abstractions.
- Experience developing and building models based on TOGAF.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture tools (SPARX, ArchiMate).
- Ability to derive, define, and explicitly represent various artifacts within the Enterprise framework.
- Experience in building an effective architecture organization.
- Hands-on experience deploying large-scale enterprise projects in an end-user environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with SOA-based applications in Java/Micro-Services with frameworks such as .NET, Spring, Hibernate, J2EE, etc.
- Knowledge of web and mobile technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJs, iOS, Android, etc.).
- Understanding of non-functional aspects of IT Architecture (Performance, Resilience, Security, etc.).
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance (RMiT, GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO, etc.).
- Domain knowledge in Core Banking, back-end systems, and related protocols.
