Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a passionate and committed Part-Time English Teacher to join our academic team and support the English language learning of secondary school students. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, the ability to connect with teenage learners, and a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, marking assignments, and helping students improve their language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct interactive and level-appropriate English lessons for students aged 13–17
  • Provide support in grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, essay writing, and oral communication
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
  • Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching strategies based on students’ needs
  • Collaborate with the academic team to align with curriculum objectives and assessments
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging classroom environment
Requirements:
  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Education, or related field
  • Teaching certification (e.g., PGDE, TESOL, CELTA) is preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary level
  • Familiarity with AEIS and or O-Level is preferred
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to engage and motivate students with varied language abilities
  • Responsible, punctual, and committed to student growth
  • Able to work evenings or weekends (depending on class schedule)
Working Hours:
  • Approximately 4–10 hours per week, depending on enrollment and class scheduling
  • Classes may be held on weekday afternoon to evenings and/or weekends
