Job summary

Cyberjaya Education Group Berhad is seeking an experienced Lecturer in English for our Centre of Foundation, Language and General Studies. You will deliver high-quality teaching, support student learning, and contribute to curriculum development and assessment.

The role includes supervising students, providing feedback, and participating in academic and administrative activities to align with regulatory requirements and university goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, TESL, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in higher education or relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update, prepare and implement high quality lesson plans, tutorials, assignments, and class discussion in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.
• Conduct and deliver quality lectures, tutorials, discussions, workshops, consultancy, and other means of learning facilitation professionally and effectively to students.
• Contribute to the development of new academic programme and to provide ideas, suggestion, proposals, and recommendation to further improve the overall operations, management, and profitability of the institution.
• Supervise students and responsible for students' academic progress.
• Consistently monitor and provide feedback to students on their performance and to provide academic counselling to students.
• Involved in general academic administration of the faculty whenever required.
• To fulfil administrative and supervisory roles associated with teaching, research, and innovation.
• Involve in the development of examination papers and other assessments according to the course learning outcomes, invigilate examinations and evaluate students' performance.
• To assist in the communication and administrative matters in accordance with the policies and regulatory requirements by MoHE and MQA;
• Involve in marketing activities such as education fairs, open days and other marketing drives; and
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and/or consultancy, where applicable.
• Contribute to innovation in teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Faculty or University Management.
