Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems, experimental circuits, and specialized test equipment. Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–10 years of related work experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Hands-on installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient with computer-based data systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to Test Technicians, troubleshoot issues, perform rework, review schematics, and escalate to Leads/Engineers for solutions.
• Test and troubleshoot system and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect materials and measure circuitry with electronic test equipment and precision instruments.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Support design, construction, testing, and checkout of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized apparatus.
• Collaborate with development engineers on tests and data collection.

At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You'll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Your commitment to precision and problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.

In this role, you will directly contribute to resolve day-to-day PM test related issue escalation.

What you’ll do

• Provide technical assistance to other Test Technicians by troubleshooting new or persistent issues, performing rework, accessing computer systems, reviewing schematics, and utilizing fixtures using previous experiences/schematics/assembly drawings/work instructions, while management updated; escal…to Leads/Engineers/Supervisors for solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex issues by utilizing BKM (Best Known Method)/Tech Bulletins/FCO's
• Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
• Inspect materials, components, or products for surface defects and measure circuitry, using electronic test equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
• Conduct operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment, help in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Support the design, construction, test, and check-out of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Collaborates with development engineers conducting engineering tests to collect design data or support in research efforts.

Who we’re looking for

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering
• 3 -10 years of related work experience.
• Good understanding on electrical schematics, mechanical drawing and technical manuals.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work on a shift schedule.

Preferred qualifications

• Associates Degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
• Experience in electrical engineering, mechatronic engineering, or related areas.
• Semiconductor industry experience is a plus.
