Job summary

Lam Research in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Test Engineer for Sustaining/Development (Spin Clean) to ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturing readiness across all stages of development.

You will develop test strategies, drive issue resolution with engineering teams, manage test sustainment, and collaborate with suppliers to implement fixtures and test solutions. Travel 10–20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with test automation and fixture development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies across new product or product in transition prior to manufacturing release.
• Own and drive test sustainment issue closure, ensuring seamless manufacturing ramp and meet targeted shipment dateline.
• Collaborate closely with Supplier Engineering Technology (SET) global commodity heads, account teams, and other cross functional stakeholders to enable smooth product and test integration.
• Organize and lead internal and external technical review meetings, ensuring alignment, risk visibility and continuous progress towards issue closure.
• Provide critical technical analysis and data driven insights to support root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Interface directly with suppliers to deliver and implement technical solutions, including test fixture enhancements and solutions.
• Drive manufacturing test readiness activities including fixture qualification, test procedure validation, capacity assessment and production deployment.
