Job Summary
Responsible for leading the engineering and maintenance functions across manufacturing facilities within the FMCG sector. This role focuses on ensuring operational reliability, regulatory compliance, efficient resource utilization, and the development of a high-performing technical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
- Supervise diagnostics and repairs of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
- Implement reliability-centered practices to extend equipment lifespan and performance.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct audits, risk assessments, and corrective action implementation. Maintain adherence to ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards.
- Oversee facility upgrades, new installations, and infrastructure projects.
- Maintain asset registers and ensure accurate technical documentation.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets and maintenance expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and strategic procurement.
- Manage relationships with service providers for specialized maintenance and calibration.
- Oversee contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
- Track maintenance KPIs and ensure timely reporting on equipment performance, downtime, and improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Identify opportunities to drive energy efficiency, automation, and process improvements.
- Lead initiatives aligned with industry best practices and technological advancements.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
- At least 10 years of engineering experience in FMCG or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role (maintenance/project/technical manager level). Familiarity with ISO-certified environments (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP).
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
