Job summary

Petronas Ventures is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Wells / Well Intervention team in Miri, Sarawak. You will assist in planning, data gathering, and documentation while gaining hands-on exposure to upstream operations in a dynamic oil & gas environment.

You will work with engineers and field teams, developing technical dossiers, risk assessments, and performance tracking. This internship emphasizes practical problem solving, safety-mindedness, and proactive collaboration.

Qualifications

• Engineering background or major in a relevant field is required.
• Candidates should be self-mufficient and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn about upstream oil & gas operations.
• Ability to analyse data, perform basic technical assessments, and support documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, and execution readiness for well intervention activities.
• Assist engineers with technical dossiers, risk assessments, and program documentation.
• Participate in data gathering, well performance analysis, and post-job reporting.
• Contribute to safety observations and performance tracking.
• Engage with offshore operations personnel, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
• Help develop presentations, dashboards, and workflow materials for decision-making.
