Job summary

Bruker is seeking an Engineering Design Manager in Malaysia to lead the design, development, verification, and commercialization of advanced scientific instrumentation. You will manage a multidisciplinary engineering team and drive product roadmaps across concept to sustaining engineering, coordinating with Systems, Software, Manufacturing and QA.

The role requires a PhD/MSc/Bachelor in a related field, 8+ years in hardware development, and 3+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD, MSc or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of hardware product development experience, including 3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Experience leading the development of complex scientific, analytical, medical, semiconductor, or advanced technology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of hardware engineers (mechanical, electrical, systems, test).
• Direct hardware development activities for scientific and analytical instrument platforms across the product lifecycle.
• Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and verification/validation; ensure cost targets and manufacturability.
