Job Description

  • Responsible for overall manufacturing process compliance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery aspects, overseeing direct labor, machine processes, and both direct and indirect materials.
  • Meet manufacturing line productivity (DP) as a key performance indicator (KPI).
  • Achieve targets for internal defect cost (IDC), First Pass Yield (FPY), and line failure rates (FOR) as KPIs.
  • Lead, plan, and optimize production line layout, workplace/workstation setup, material flow, space, labor headcount, and shift requirements.
  • Perform big data analysis, review, improve process parameters, troubleshoot OEE losses, and address fall-out rates from production or machine testing.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for process planning and industrial engineering, including line balancing and VT studies.
  • Review process control parameters, checklists, and conduct regular process and machine capability studies (CpK, CmK, GR&R).
  • Establish standardized work through time studies and ergonomic assessments after SOP implementation.
  • Optimize line balancing based on time studies.
  • Maintain and revise manufacturing engineering documents such as Work Instructions, Visual Aids, FMEA, and line balancing documents.
  • Implement cost reduction activities through process improvements, VT, and headcount optimization.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and reporting for second source components, RPP, and qualification builds.
  • Train and guide trainers, supervisors, and operators on manufacturing processes.
  • Support production to meet productivity, output, FOR, and quality targets.
  • Troubleshoot process and quality issues during production.
  • Participate in audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities like BPS, LLD, QVSM, VSM/VSD.
  • Prepare ISIR evaluation tools and support daily Point CIP activities.
  • Coordinate rework activities for product quality issues.
  • Participate in critical milestone processes for new projects, including sample builds and quality management (PSS/8D).
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including risk assessment and quality issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA and control plan development.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as DOE, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, QFD, 8D, CpK, CmK, or Cgk (preferred).
  • Ability to manage personnel time effectively to ensure project success.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and provide constructive feedback.
