The incumbent is responsible as a technical generalist for equipment, process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation aspects. Acts as the overall coordinator for all internal and external engineering on projects as required. Responsible for the successful design, implementation, commissioning, and hand-over of projects assigned by the Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management:
Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans; consulting with management.
Define project responsibilities by identifying phases and elements; review bids from contractors.
Determine project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; conducting technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Establish project schedules by studying plans and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing activities.
Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress; coordinating activities; resolving issues.
Control project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Process Improvement:
Act as an internal consultant to lead, define, and develop continuous improvement and redesign activities.
Support and integrate continuous improvement efforts at the site, including technical studies and cost estimates.
Plan and coordinate training for teams supporting continuous improvement strategies and tools.
Lead problem-solving efforts to improve quality and eliminate waste or poor performance costs at each plant.
Apply statistical methods to improve process capability, reduce variation, and achieve breakthrough performance.
Design, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Identify key elements of process improvement and collaborate with process owners to implement sustainable changes.
Develop and report on improvement indexes and related metrics.
Serve as a process improvement expert for tasks, projects, and operations.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, with experience in operations or process improvement.
Experience in electrical, control systems, and instrumentation engineering.
Technical and Professional Knowledge
Skills in requirements analysis, design, project management, manufacturing methods, process improvement, technical understanding, documentation, safety management, supervision, CAD, CAD/CAM, circuit design, machine vision, LabVIEW, PLC programming (Fatek, Siemens, Omron), control systems, and automation.
Proven ability to lead change, motivate across organizational levels, and achieve business transformation results.
