Job summary

WD is seeking an Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering in Kuala Lumpur to help build and maintain scalable manufacturing systems. You will oversee preventive maintenance, support equipment changes, and lead installations for new lines, ensuring safety and reliability in high-demand environments.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree related to automation or mechanical disciplines and has up to 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering related to Automation/EE/Mechanical/Mechatronic.
• Up to 3 years experience.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment preventive maintenance as per schedule.
• In charge of equipment form factor conversion, set-up and buyoff.
• New equipment installation or set-up propagation.
• Support major equipment issue troubleshooting and spare parts inventory purchasing.
• Trainer for new SOP in human behavior or machine operation.
• Adhere to OSHA standards for safety and health.
• Utilize programming languages for troubleshooting (PLC/CTC/C/C++/Python).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To overasee equipment preventive maintenance as per schedule
• In charge equipment form factor conversion, set-up and buyoff
• New equipment installation or set-up propagation
• Support major equipment issue troubleshooting and spare parts inventory purchasing
• Trainer for new SOP either in human behavior or machine operation
• Adhere to OSHA standard for safe and health
• Using different sort of machine programming language, etc PLC/CTC/C++/Python for troubleshooting.

REQUIRED:

• Degree in Engineering Discipline that related to Automation/EE/Mechanical/Mechatronic etc

PREFERRED:

• Up to 3 years experience.

SKILLS:

• Good command of English
• Expert in Control System
• Basic understanding of Machine programming language such as PLC will be added advantage
• Ability to use CAD will be added advantage
• Computer Programming language such as Python/C++ will be added advantage
• An overall understanding of AI infrastructure, such as LLM/Machine Learning/Agentic AI etc will be added advantage.
