Job summary

Ultratrex Machinery in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking an engineering assistant to assist in preparing basic mechanical designs and technical drawings for machinery and equipment.

You will support fabrication drawings, BOM updates, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and production issues, improve product design and manufacturability, review existing designs, and maintain essential documentation such as QMS, EMS and OHSMS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing basic mechanical designs and technical drawings for machinery and equipment.
• Assist in preparing and updating fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) under supervision.
• Assist the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in resolving design and production-related issues.
• Assist in improving product design, performance and manufacturability.
• Assist in reviewing existing designs and identifying areas for improvement.
• Support engineers in preparing technical information and documentation.
• Assist in maintaining documentation related to QMS, EMS and OHSMS.
• Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
