Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Network Engineer III, IT Infra to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise networking for a fast-growing semiconductor environment. You will collaborate with global teams and lead initiatives across LAN, VoIP, WLAN, and SD-WAN while ensuring high availability and robust security.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in network infrastructure, 5+ years with Cisco routers/switches and wireless LAN, plus relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field.
• CCIE, PAN Certified Network Security Engineer, AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
• Minimum experience: 6 years in Network Infrastructure roles; 5+ years with Cisco routers/switches; 5+ years wireless LAN.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure switches, routers, wireless controllers and other networking equipment
• Deploy and manage functional networks for LAN, VoIP, WLAN, and SDWAN
• Oversee network management systems for reliability and performance
• Ensure network assets are properly managed through lifecycle
• Test HA on data paths and circuits
• Write scripts to automate network deployment
• Create and maintain network diagrams and docs
• Collaborate with global teams to achieve IT and business goals
• Serve as escalation point to Jr. Network Engineers

Job Summary

Network Engineer III with experience designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise networking technologies. The individual will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable presenting to audiences, and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, but rewarding technical environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and configure switches, routers, wireless controllers and other networking equipment
• Deploy and manage functional networks for LAN, VoIP, WLAN, and SDWAN
• Oversee the ongoing development and operations of network management systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Ensure assets are responsibly and properly managed through life cycle.
• Test and ensure High Availability is functional on data paths and circuits
• Perform configuration improvements and software updates on network equipment
• Conduct network troubleshooting to identify, isolate, and diagnose any network issues
• Optimize monitoring tools to analyze network traffic, track uptime, and provide reports
• Write scripts to automate network deployment solutions
• Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Collaborate with global teams to accomplish IT and business goals
• Serve as escalation point to Jr. Network Engineers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Deep understanding of OSI model and each layer
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching
• Experience managing controller based wireless networks
• Deep understanding of NGFWs
• Thorough understanding of SD WAN
• Expert knowledge of networking technologies including VLAN and routing protocols
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Educational/Certification Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field
• Technical certifications: CCIE, PAN Certified Network Security Engineer, AWS Certified Advanced Networking

Experience Requirement: Work Experience

• Minimum of 6 year experience working in Network Infrastructure roles
• Minimum 5 year experience with advanced administration of Cisco routers and switches
• Minimum 5 year experience building, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireless LAN
