The Process Engineer performs engineering work in basic and applied research, development, design of new products and/or sustaining of existing products. Be qualified to work on ECR & ECO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow the new product transfer status by coordinating with FC Eng team and local logistic team.
2. Responsible for line capacity planning and first pass yield improvement plan.
3. Lead the product quality team on the program of cycle time reduction, capacity expansion.
4. Follow daily production issues, lead the team on increasing yield, improving product quality, reducing manufacturing costs.
5. Follow customer quality feedback, prepare corrective actions, and monitor implementation.
6. Establish a product quality team to improve product performance on RTY, DPU, and OOB DPPM.
7. Set up goals for each production line and lead the process team to achieve them.
8. Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental policies, 5S, and general duty of care.
9. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to production processes, components, business, and technology including materials.
10. Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
2. Works in a standard office environment using general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.).
3. Troubleshoots high voltage power supplies.
4. Overtime may be necessary during periods of increased demand.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to demonstrate independent judgment, responsibility, and professionalism in front of program teams.
2. Ability to handle moderately complex engineering assignments.
3. Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
4. Good judgment to resolve problems.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Creativity.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
2. Familiar with ISO quality system.
3. Familiar with plant operation systems.
4. Good knowledge of 6Sigma, SPC, FMEA, lean manufacturing.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.

OTHERS:

Applicants must be willing to work in Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat.
