Job description

Individual will be responsible for making timely and accurate decisions in maintaining and troubleshooting tasks in all aspects of Facility operations. The role involves prioritizing multiple activities and making effective decisions in a high-demand manufacturing environment, utilizing sound problem-solving skills, advanced process control, and statistical process control methods. Additionally, the individual will identify issues, perform root cause analysis, gather and analyze data to optimize downtime and maintenance (preventive or corrective), and communicate findings and requirements to the fixture & equipment design team. The role also includes identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in maintenance activities, and documenting maintenance activities in MP as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct root cause analysis and data processing.
  2. Identify risks and establish best practices for the automation team.
  3. Design tests to verify issues or determine key parameters.
  4. Review MP documentation to add undocumented steps, optimize asset management, and improve preventive maintenance cycles to reduce costs and enhance quality.
  5. Gather and analyze data to optimize downtime and hands-on maintenance.
  6. Provide feedback to the fixture design team to improve or develop better initial versions of tools.
  7. Structure technical feedback to enhance current and future tools and equipment, and define maintenance requirements.
  8. Communicate effectively with Production, Engineering, equipment suppliers, and process engineering teams in a support role.
  9. Review and optimize the functionality of existing equipment.
  10. Participate in cost-saving, uptime, and quality improvement projects.
  11. Monitor predictive and preventive maintenance planning closely.
  12. Manage new equipment hookup and startup processes.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of APC, SPC, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or other relevant tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an MNC or Semiconductor industry as an Equipment/Maintenance Engineer.
  • Wiring certificates (PW1 – PW4) or higher engineering certifications are an added advantage.
Education:

Minimum Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
  • Willing and able to work around toxic materials and gases.
  • Willing and able to wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and respirators.
  • Able to lift at least 20kg.
  • Able to climb ladders.
  • Able to shovel and operate power equipment.

This position primarily involves work in and outside the office environment, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of equipment, tools, computers, and other digital devices is necessary. Extended standing may be required during meetings or facility walks.
