Job description

Job Summary

Individual will be responsible for making timely and accurate decisions in maintaining and trouble-shooting tasks in all aspects of Facility. Prioritize multiple activities and make effective decisions in a high requirement of manufacturing workplace, using sound problem solving, advanced process control & statistical process control methods. Also, to identify issues and perform root cause analysis, gather and analyze data to optimize downtime and maintenance (preventative or corrective), summarize and provide feedback and requirements to fixture & equipment design team. Identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction in maintenance activities and document maintenance activities in MP as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Root cause analysis and data processing.
• Identify risks and establish best practices for automation team.
• Design test to verify what the issues are or which parameters are key.
• Review MP documentation to add undocumented steps, optimize asset management and improve preventative cycles to optimize cost & quality.
• Gather and analyze data to optimize downtime and maintenance hands on.
• Summarize and provide feedback to fixture design team to update or design better initial version of tools.
• Structure technical feedback to improve current and upcoming tools and equipment and define maintenance requirements.
• Interact and communicate effectively with Production, Engineering, equipment suppliers and process engineering in a support role.
• Review and optimize functionality of existing equipment.
• Cost saving, uptime and quality improvement projects.
• Closely monitor the predictive and preventive maintenance planning.
• New equipment hooks up and start up.
• Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent in electrical ladder diagram and wiring diagram.
• Good knowledge of APC, SPC, Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint or any other is added advantages.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Language: Must speak and write English well.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experiences in MNC or Semiconductor industry as Equipment/Maintenance engineer.
• Prefer have wireman certificate (PW1 – PW4) or having higher certificate in Board of Engineer is added advantage.

Education

Minimum Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree / bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering / Mechatronic / Mechanical Degree or equivalent.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

• Willing and able to work around toxic materials and gases.
• Willing and able to wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA), and respirators.
• Able to lift at least 20kg.
• Able to climb ladders.
• Able to shovel and operate power equipment.

This position primarily works in and outside the office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of equipment, tools, computers and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
