Job Summary
- rBU Product Purchasing buyer for a Product Group along the complete Product Life Cycle (including product relocation).
- rBU Purchasing Strategy, Quality, and Target Cost responsibility and accountability for the related Product Group(s).
- rBU contact interface to Material Field purchasing (Commercial, Quality) / Ensure aligned product messages for the related Product Group from rBU to Material Field Purchasing.
- Escalation in the rBU for Purchasing-related issues (commercial, quality, logistics).
- Prepare aligned rBU Product Group Purchasing Strategy for PT-MT/PPU.
Job Scope
- Definition and maintenance of a Product Group Purchasing Strategy considering TTM and Value Stream targets, including interface from Purchasing to rBU.
- Leading and responsible for the RPP activities in the respective Product Group (creation, implementation, cross-functional cooperation).
- Early Supplier involvement in TTM to support Product Innovation and Target Cost Achievement (PILUM, GENESIS).
- Support Annual Price Negotiation by providing new potential business opportunities within the Product Group pipeline.
- Challenge and support Material Field buyers to achieve optimal Material Field Costs.
- Assist Material Field Buyers in contracting (e.g., SE-contracts, NDA, Concept Competition).
- Create transparency of Product Group costs through benchmarking (support the Global Product Champion).
- Responsible for achieving Best Costs in the Product Group (Benchmarking, TCO, RPP) before/after SOP.
- Manage Product Group related quality activities (e.g., ISIR, 8D, VQS).
- Serve as the first escalation level for Quality and Logistics related supplier issues from the Plant.
- Handle purchasing-related topics/tasks within the Value Stream.
Qualifications
- Degree holder or above in science/technical field (preferably mechanical/electrical engineering).
- Min. 4-6 years experience in purchasing and 2 years in purchasing/project/supplier quality, with understanding and application of project management.
- Understanding of processes of key components and related products.
- Analytical mindset with creative ideas, resourcefulness, openness, and trustworthiness.
- Proficiency in negotiation skills and project management.
- Understanding of products and processes (e.g., molding of plastic parts, SMT).
- Ability to establish contacts and intercultural skills.
