Job Summary
Support/executethe electronics module development, apply the hardware platform into projects, and record/update all technical documents in the system under guidance of specialists.
Job Scope
- Evaluate and select electronics platforms for use in power tool applications with support and guidance of engineers and specialists from a wide variety of technical disciplines.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Perform functional tests of test units with support and guidance of engineers and specialists.
- Validate and implement essential improvements to the electronics to pass Bosch internal qualification.
- Prepare essential technical documents for electronics/tool certification with support and guidance of engineers and specialists.
- Follow the project schedule according to the product development process.
- Improve circuit design based on input from project team members with support and guidance of engineers and specialists.
- Support line and warranty teams with electronic device changes and updates with support and guidance of engineers and specialists.
- Ensure all documents are up-to-date based on engineering change (EC) requests.
- Apply all processes according to valid PT and Bosch procedures published in BGN with support and guidance of engineers and specialists.
- Support and take over special tasks at section and department levels as assigned by the superior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related area, hardware development for consumer goods, household appliances, automotive or industrial applications, motor control design applications.
- Exposure to electronics circuit design, especially embedded design.
- Motor control, Li-ion battery charging and discharging are preferred.
- PCB design and schematic design experience (Altium Designer or other EDA tools, >1 year continuously).
- Understanding of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) process.
- Knowledge about electronic components (e.g., resistor, capacitor, signal/power diode, transistor, power MOSFET, MOSFET driver IC), understanding the parameters.
- Understanding EMC/EMI/ESD.
- Ability to use multimeter, oscilloscope, etc., for troubleshooting.
- Transfer of technical requirements into an electronic solution by applying structured system development methodologies.
- Understanding cause-effect relationships of technical details.
- Basic SAP user.
- PC applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
