Summary
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Generating the sequence of operation and system architectures for onsite facilities' electrical systems.
- Reviewing onsite system architectures and as-built documentation to ensure accuracy and currency.
- Providing technical proposals and recommendations as a subject matter expert on all Mechanical systems, ensuring systems function as per design and operational readiness.
- Collaborating with project and onsite teams for system integration and improvements, participating in commissioning activities.
- Liaising with overseas vendors for system work, discussions, and upgrades, representing BDC as a Mechanical system expert in customer meetings.
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, best practices, and standards related to Mechanical systems.
- Creating maintenance procedures and checklists to ensure scalability and sustainability.
- Conducting hands-on operations and inspections in a critical environment, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Protecting and enhancing asset value, troubleshooting, and ensuring systems perform their intended functions.
- Maintaining high standards of operation, technical expertise, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading maintenance tasks and monitoring performance.
- Overseeing daily maintenance and inspections of critical systems including electrical and mechanical components.
- Supervising maintenance work, ensuring adherence to procedures, and escalating issues appropriately.
- Managing change control processes for maintenance and modifications.
- Providing onsite technical support, guidance during testing and commissioning.
- Training and supporting engineers and technicians.
- Monitoring spare parts inventory and recommending stock levels.
- Ensuring maintenance tasks meet service level agreements.
- Developing and implementing safe maintenance practices and change management procedures.
- Maintaining safety standards and compliance with regulations.
- Updating inventories and managing supplies.
- Identifying safety hazards and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in English; capable of preparing detailed work scripts and incident reports.
- Knowledge of building management, safety, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Data Centre or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with critical data center systems, especially electrical and HVAC systems.
- Proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing to work outside regular hours, including on-call support and on-site incident response.
