A leading cement manufacturer in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting faults, and supporting production targets. The ideal candidate has a degree in electrical engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Perks include medical insurance and education support.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the plant. The Electrical Engineer supports the maintenance department, especially for electrical section, by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvements to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance. This role is critical in maintaining continuous plant operation and supporting production or plant targets.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems such as motors, transformers, switchgear etc. to ensure equipment uptime by following scheduled plans and using condition monitoring tools. Calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, weigher to maintain ±1% accuracy for optimal process control by conducting regular checks with certified equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation faults to minimize production downtime by using diagnostic tools and root cause analysis. Monitor and support plant E&I systems to prevent unplanned stoppages by conducting regular inspections and real-time DCS system monitoring. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols to achieve zero safety incidents by enforcing LOTO procedures, PPE usage, and safety briefings. Plan and execute E&I activities during plant shutdowns to complete 100% of assigned tasks within schedule through detailed preparation and resource allocation. Maintain accurate technical documentation of electrical drawings and calibration records to ensure 100% up-to-date information by updating documents after every job. Identify and implement reliability improvements to reduce repeat equipment failures by 20% annually through data analysis and corrective action recommendations.
