We Are Looking For

As the DCIM Engineer you will report directly to the Systems Manager and play a critical role in bridging facilities and IT operations by integrating Building Management Systems (BMS), managing server/database infrastructure, and developing in-house dashboard platforms. This role combines core engineering knowledge with IT and data analytics capabilities to enhance visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness across our data center operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Building Management System (BMS):

  • Lead the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) systems and tools.
  • Oversee the backend server environment supporting BMS and DCIM applications, including system updates, backups, and security patches.
  • Manage database systems related to facilities and operational metrics; ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, enhance, and maintain real-time Power BI dashboards for capacity monitoring, energy usage, incident tracking, and SLA performance.
  • Integrate disparate systems (BMS, EPMS, CMMS, etc.) into centralized platforms for improved monitoring and analytics.
  • Support project commissioning and transition activities by participating in FAT/SAT and system integration testing.
  • Analyze historical performance data and recommend strategies for system optimization, predictive maintenance, and fault reduction.
  • Support operations teams with root cause analysis during incidents or equipment failures.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, operation procedures, and change management records.

IT / Server / Database Infrastructure:

  • Manage and maintain backend servers hosting BMS, DCIM, CMMS, and related platforms.
  • Provide basic support in terms of server configuration, updates, backups, and security patching if required.
  • Develop and manage databases related to system performance, alarms, and asset management.
  • Ensure system interfaces (APIs, SNMP, MODBUS, BACnet) operate smoothly across platforms.
  • Assist developers and system managers in backend architecture design and integration planning.
  • Support data extraction, transformation, and visualization efforts using tools like Power BI, SQL, or Python.

Requirements:

  • Diploma and above in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, Computer Science, or related field).
  • 3–5 years of experience in data center or mission-critical environments with hands-on experience in BMS, EPMS, DCIM, or SCADA systems.
  • Proficient Experience with Power BI or other dashboarding tools.
  • Experience with server OS (Windows/Linux), database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and control systems in data centers.
  • Experience integrating IT systems with OT environments.
  • Familiar with CMMS/ERP and other facility management platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
