JOB DESCRIPTION

Support inspection and assessment works along the North-South Expressway (Southern Region) as part of the scheduled Master Inspection Programme (MIP). This role plays a key part in ensuring the quality, safety, and serviceability of highway assets, contributing directly to the department’s strong reputation for excellence and reliability. The role will support field inspections, data updates, technical assessments, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to uphold performance standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc asset inspections along the North-South Expressway as per the Master Inspection Programme (MIP) or instruction from the Region Manager/Engineer.
  • Update the NMM NOD Database with inspection findings and prepare defect reports for client submission.
  • Assist with reviewing inspection outcomes to ensure alignment with the TEMAN system, and help prepare technical reports for submission.
  • Perform third-party inspections and compile assessment reports when required.
  • Attend to emergency site issues, coordinate repairs, and prepare timely reports.
  • Engage with clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders to support operational needs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) standards.
  • Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Region Manager as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years total work experience
  • At least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Added advantage: Knowledge of AutoCAD and ESTEEM
