Job description
Engineer (Chemical Cleaning Specialized)

Assist Senior Engineer/AOM/OM in day-to-day work and properly manage project according to plan when assigned.

Assist Senior Engineer/AOM/OM in searching for new suitable technology to be adopted by the company when not involved in project.

Assist Senior Engineer/AOM/OM in performing sales and marketing function.

Focus on execution of project.

Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.

Monitor compliances to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Project Conception & Initiation
  • Responsible to assist Senior Engineer/AOM/OM for technical proposal preparation which include manpower, chemical usage and equipment to be used.
  • Identify scope of works and requirements of the projects.
  • Attending site visit and meetings with clients.
Project Planning
  • Prepare project manpower, equipment and consumables loading.
  • Prepare project team organization chart.
  • To liaise with vendors (manpower & equipment) in the preparation of the technical paper.
  • To identify necessary equipments and its specifications to be used in the process application.
Project Execution
  • Execute every assigned project.
  • To liaise with procurement & logistic department related to equipment/services purchase requisition.
  • To prepare quantity of chemical usage and supervise blending/dilution process.
  • Responsible to ensure the required resources for the project are available on board at all time.
Project performance & Control
  • Monitor and control project expenses/petty cash.
  • Trouble shooting project problem.
  • Manage project.
  • Manage project budgets and make adjustments according to needs as they arise.
  • Coordinate project documentations with Project Team and client.
  • Responsible to supervise Project Coordinators in respect of their daily activities.
  • Responsible to establish upkeep and report the project works execution for Operation Manager and/or Managing Director approval.
  • Responsible to liaise closely with the client’s site representative with regards to the day to day management of the project.
  • Responsible to supervise, monitor and control subcontractors and suppliers for successful project execution.
Project Closure
  • Responsible to establish final project execution report.
  • Handle mob and demob until completion of task.
Others
  • Responsible for project team members’ disciplinary issues.
  • Assist in expediting payment by client where possible.
  • To carry out any other duties which are not specified herein as and when required as assigned by the immediate superior.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.

Two (2) to four (4) years experience in oil & gas industry specifically in chemical decontamination, mercury and benzene monitoring and/or scheduled waste management.
