• Install, test, calibrate, and maintain medical devices and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and hospital standards.
• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of biomedical equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and conduct root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment inventory databases.
• Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with local and international safety standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, MOH).
• Provide technical support and training to medical and nursing staff on the safe use of equipment.
• Participate in equipment procurement by evaluating technical specifications, liaising with vendors, and recommending suitable options.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for major repairs or installations.
• Support in audits and inspections related to medical equipment and documentation.
• Stay updated with technological advancements and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.
