Job summary

S P Setia Berhad is seeking a skilled Energy Manager to develop and implement energy efficiency strategies across mall and office operations in Malaysia. You will set annual reduction targets, monitor real-time energy usage via BMS/smart meters, and analyze data to identify HVAC, lighting, and escalator inefficiencies.

You will evaluate TNB tariff structures, implement load shifting, and lead retrofit projects including LED upgrades and chiller replacements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy), Environmental Science, or related field.
• Certifications in Energy Management (e.g., CEM) are a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in Building Management Systems (BMS) and smart metering technologies.
• Strong analytical skills for energy data interpretation and trend analysis.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, lighting controls, and escalator operations.
• Knowledge of TNB tariff structures and energy cost optimization strategies.
• Experience with solar PV systems and energy retrofit technologies.
• Understanding of Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations and local energy compliance standards.
• Experience preparing energy reports and ESG-related disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy efficiency strategies aligned with mall & office operations.
• Set annual energy reduction targets and sustainability goals.
• Monitor real-time energy consumption via BMS or smart meters.
• Analyze trends and identify inefficiencies in HVAC, lighting, and escalators.
• Evaluate tariff structures and implement load shifting and demand-side strategies.
• Lead energy-saving retrofit projects (e.g., LED upgrades, chiller replacements).
• Coordinate solar PV feasibility studies and installations.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and local regulations; prepare monthly energy reports and ESG disclosures.
• Train operations staff and tenants on energy-saving practices; collaborate with leasing and marketing on green initiatives.
