Job Summary:

If you are an engineering professional looking to advance to a lead role, Emerson offers a great opportunity! This position involves the overall management of new product introductions, redesigns, and transfers to Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners.

Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:
    • Participate in new product kick-off meetings.
    • Ensure timely program schedules, addressing potential delays.
    • Maintain pilot results and checklists.
    • Manage material status and clear-to-build reports.
    • Review and approve PPV requests within thresholds.
    • Raise purchase requests for tooling.
    • Collaborate with EMS, engineering, supply chain, and team members.
    • Lead project meetings to update on status and remedial actions.
    • Coordinate with EMS Pricing Lead for cost optimization.
    • Work with manufacturing engineers to set up processes.
    • Collaborate with program managers on tooling, materials, and progress.
    • Act as the primary interface for engineering and program managers.
    • Handle NPD results and attend product status meetings.
    • Provide inputs during production release meetings.
    • Ensure accurate transfer of engineering documentation.
    • Perform additional duties as required.
  2. Project Status Reporting:
    • Regularly report project progress and outlook.
    • Highlight issues and potential delays promptly.
  3. Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
    • Familiarity with regional distributors and brokers for sourcing.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office.
    • Ability to handle large data sets accurately.
    • Strong communication skills in English.
    • Integrity and proactive issue highlighting.
    • Ability to review proposals and suggest improvements.
    • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  4. Preferred Qualifications:
    • Degree in relevant field with 3+ years in electronics manufacturing.
    • Experience with MS Teams, SharePoint, and data repositories.
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Adaptability to change.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally.
