Job description

Job Summary:

If you are an engineering professional looking to advance to a lead role, Emerson offers a great opportunity! This position involves managing the pricing of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) to ensure competitiveness and integrating market insights into product cost structures.


Responsibilities:
  1. Manage pricing for all preferred EMS partners during CPM pricing cycles and revisions for both Emerson-approved and non-approved suppliers.
  2. Ensure implementation of the most competitive approved MPN pricing to minimize product costs.
  3. Support price reviews and negotiations with non-preferred EMS partners.
  4. Adhere to CPM re-pricing timelines and coordinate price cut-in dates with team members.
  5. Coordinate with the CPM team to ensure flow-through of negotiated pricing.
  6. Collaborate with EMS partners and manufacturing engineers to drive value-added cost reductions.
  7. Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and pricing fluctuations.
  8. Work with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  9. Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to aid decision-making.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned or required by the business.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of Electronics Manufacturing and supporting processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with BOM scrubbing and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced Excel skills for multi-tasking.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight schedules.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work outside regular hours when necessary.

Preferred:

  • Degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role within electronic or contract electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience with MS Teams, SharePoint, and data repositories.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Adaptability to change.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
