Job Overview
The Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating and enhancing multimedia elements such as layout designs, graphics, videos, and animations to support
eLearning and communication projects. This role transforms instructional content into visually engaging learning experiences and collaborates closely with instructional designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure media assets align with content goals and branding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
Design and Development
- Design multimedia assets including illustrations, infographics, icons, videos, and animations based on project needs.
- Adapt design styles to match client branding and audience expectations.
- Ensure media assets meet visual, accessibility, and formatting standards for eLearning.
Project Support and Collaboration
- Work closely with instructional designers and developers to integrate multimedia elements into learning modules.
- Support internal and cross-functional team projects requiring multimedia expertise.
- Follow project timelines and collaborate during creative reviews and iteration cycles.
Visual Consistency and Branding
- Maintain consistency of style, tone, and brand alignment across all assets produced.
- Apply visual design principles to enhance the effectiveness of learning content.
Client Engagement (Internal Focus)
- Participate in internal design discussions and reviews.
- Interpret design briefs and propose visual concepts accordingly.
Professional Development and Innovation
- Stay updated on current design and eLearning media trends.
- Apply new tools or techniques that improve asset quality and efficiency.
Core Competencies Required
Creative Expertise: Skilled in crafting visually compelling assets, with attention to detail in design elements.
Tool Proficiency: Competent in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Powtoon, Camtasia, or equivalent.
Collaboration and Communication: Effective team player who can understand feedback and translate content into visual ideas.
Time Management: Able to juggle multiple tasks and deliver within timelines.
Learning Mindset: Curious and proactive in improving design techniques and efficiency.
Qualifications Or Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a multimedia design or related creative role.
- Strong working knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Portfolio showcasing design and animation work across different formats.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
