Job summary

Advanced Energy in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Test Technician to perform calibration checks on electronic instruments, run unit tests to support production schedules, and conduct semi-routine engineering tests under engineer guidance.

Candidates should read schematics, exercise good judgment, possess solid communication, and be familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and DMMs. You will maintain logs, support yield improvements, and uphold safety and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
• Good communication ability and teamwork.
• Knowledge of testing instruments (Oscilloscope, DMM, Generator).
• Basic English reading ability preferred.
• Good computational and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs calibration checks on electronic instruments.
• Performs unit tests to support production schedule.
• Conducts semi-routine engineering and detailed experimental tests.
• Keeps detailed and accurate logs on all assigned activities.
• Participates in yield and continuous improvement actions.
• Helps to control SPC and GR&R.
• Assists engineers in design, development, construction, and evaluation of test fixtures and equipment.
• Maintains and supports the test program and equipment.
• Adheres to quality, health & safety, and confidentiality requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
