Job summary

Agilent Technologies is seeking a Materials Engineer in Malaysia to source and qualify electronics components and OEM piece-parts. You will evaluate materials or suppliers to maintain quality, assure supply, and manage cost aspects while supporting NPI and Product Transfer.

You will provide technical guidance, interpret specifications, and assist manufacturing in resolving material issues. The role requires 3–5 years' related experience, strong communication, and ability to work under tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical & Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering Sciences or equivalent.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels.
• Flexible in switching roles, responsibility & new task when needed.
• Desire to work under aggressive deadlines, fast paced & collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support in interpretation of specifications and adequacy of documentation.
• Plans for inspection and test requirements for supplier parts quality.
• Analyzes data; feeds back quality performance; follows up with suppliers.
• Leads in sourcing for substitute/alternative materials to achieve cost savings.
• Assists manufacturing in evaluating material issues to ensure proper disposition of non-conforming materials.
