Job summary

Cochlear Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electronic Assembler to diagnose and repair Cochlear external devices in our Kuala Lumpur office. The role includes documenting all repair activities per Cochlear procedures and delivering high-quality repairs efficiently.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Engineering or related field; basic soldering skills and computer literacy are required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and be prepared for two shifts.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of soldering miniature electronic devices.
  • Fresh graduates welcome; Diploma in Engineering recommended.
  • Must have basic understanding of electronic components.
  • Basic computer skills are essential for this role.
  • Willingness to work in 2 shifts (6.30am–3.15pm / 3.15pm–11.30pm).

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOP to identify failure modes and perform repair, testing and upgrade on failed devices.
  • Reassemble repaired devices as per SOP.
  • Follow service and repair procedures, quality instructions and maintain repair history.
  • Adhere to quality procedures to deliver quality products and services and support continuous improvement.
  • Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g. audits) when trained.

Electronic Assembler (KL) / Production Operator

A fantastic opportunity for Electronic Assembler to work in Cochlear to diagnose & repair the failed Cochlear external devices has arisen in our KL office. The successful candidate also needs to document all repair activities in accordance with Cochlear procedures and ensure a high quality repair is achieved in a timely and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities:


In this role you will be responsible for:



  • To follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to identify failure modes and perform the repair, testing and upgrade on failed devices.

  • Reassemble repaired devices as per the SOP.

  • Follow service and repair procedures, quality, work instructions, working procedures as per service repair requirements and maintain repair history of individual products.

  • Follow relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement.

  • Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g. audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities.


Key Requirements:



  • Basic knowledge in soldering miniature electronic devices is required for this position.

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical) or any other related discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • MUST have basic understanding of electronic components.

  • Basic understanding of using computer is essential for this role.

  • You are expected to be flexible with 2 shift; (6.30am - 3.15pm / 3.15pm - 11.30pm)

  • Ability to use microscope for complex operations is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
