A leading medical device company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Electronic Assembler to diagnose and repair Cochlear external devices. The successful candidate will follow SOPs, document repair activities, and ensure high-quality repairs efficiently. Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of soldering miniature electronic devices.
  • Understanding of electronic components.
  • Flexibility to work in 2 shifts: (6.30am - 3.15pm / 3.15pm - 11.30pm).
  • Ability to use a microscope for complex operations is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to identify failure modes.
  • Perform repairs, testing, and upgrades on failed devices.
  • Reassemble repaired devices as per SOP.
  • Maintain repair history and quality standards.
  • Undertake additional quality responsibilities when trained.

A fantastic opportunity for Electronic Assembler to work at Cochlear in Kuala Lumpur, diagnosing & repairing failed Cochlear external devices, has arisen. The successful candidate will also document all repair activities according to Cochlear procedures and ensure high-quality repairs are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to identify failure modes and perform repairs, testing, and upgrades on failed devices.
  • Reassemble repaired devices as per SOP.
  • Adhere to service and repair procedures, quality standards, work instructions, and maintain repair history.
  • Follow relevant quality procedures to deliver quality products and services, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.g., audits) when trained.

  • Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical) or related discipline.
  • Understanding of electronic components.
