Job summary

onsemi seeks an engineering technician to support applications engineering with high quality power electronics laboratory work. You will develop test assemblies to test onsemi parts in real-life scenarios and help build electro-mechanical hardware and test software in a precision lab.

You will gain experience with test stand control software, digital controllers, and high-accuracy instrumentation, while refining CAD modeling, data analysis, and PCB troubleshooting skills in a hands-on

Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent experience in related field.
5+ years in electronics/electro-mechanical lab environment.
Ability to translate schematics into functioning hardware.
Experience with oscilloscopes, LCR meters, power supplies, PCB troubleshooting.
Familiarity with LabVIEW and digital controllers preferred.
Excel or Matlab for engineering data manipulation and calc.
PCB design or circuit simulation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop test assemblies where electro-mechanical integration is key.
Conceive, design, fabricate, assemble, operate and maintain bench-top test setups.
Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain ISO certification.
Manage calibration, housekeeping, stock, and equipment needs.
Adhere to safe operating procedures and advise on improvements.
