Job description

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using diagrams, blueprints, testing devices, and technical manuals.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime and ensure safe operations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency electrical calls and perform troubleshooting and repairs as required.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
  • Install and connect electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
  • Collaborate with other trades (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, carpentry) to support maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Valid electrician certification/license as required by local regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Skilled in using electrical testing equipment and hand and power tools.
  • Good understanding of occupational hazards and electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks and working in various conditions (e.g. heights, confined spaces).
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
