About the role
Reporting to: Electrical Engineer
Key responsibilities
To carry out maintenance stock takes for electrical spare part as per schedule.
To compile power meter reading and key in the data in the computer.
Assists Electrical supervisor/engineer in carrying out any process modification or improvement and troubleshoots whenever plant breaks down.
To carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedule on SAP.
To carry out work requests from various departments for any job related to electrical.
To work closely with maintenance technician on duty related to plant issues to ensure plant is running smoothly.
Perform work order repairs, inspection and routine electrical tasks.
To conduct plant rounding every morning and report any abnormality.
To perform verification on load cell in wet mix as per schedule and do regular inspection and testing on earthing protection system, for all equipment including rubber joint, motors, machine, packaging, on electrical connections.
To guide and train new colleagues to perform their duties effectively.
To ensure electricians work in a safe and healthy working condition as stipulated in the Kerry safety requirement, Electrical Distribution Act and other statutory requirements.
Perform quality assurance inspection on all completed jobs: Ensure conformance with Malaysian standard regulation of electrical codes, IEE regulation, OSHA, lock out tag out.
Prepare and record all the daily activities in the SAP.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Works extended hours on an on-call and/or overtime basis as required.
Qualifications and skills
Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics discipline or relevant field.
Min. 3 years’ experience in similar job functions. Able to work on rotation shift.
Charge man Certificate of competency (min AO).
Computer literate – familiar with MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power.
Dynamic, result-oriented and able to work under pressure.
Should be comfortable working in a fast changing and growing global environment where accountability, quality, and timeliness are key components.
