Position Summary
Electrical Technician RST is an expert for the technology within the working area. The role is responsible to contribute to the business unit KPIs and accountable for the electrical breakdowns. It assures safety & legal compliance on maintenance works and drives “Run to standard” culture and assures the teams to work to it (Safety, Quality, CL, CILs, SAP-PM/MM…). It drives behavior to go back to basic standard condition and defining basic standard condition.
You will play an important role to:
- Abides to all Safety Rules in Vinda Malaysia and help other to do the same by giving feedback on time.
- Actively enforces safe working practices as per Vinda Malaysia safety policies and ensures works are done as per legal requirements.
- Supports the organization in maintaining a safe working environment by reporting B.O.S. and Unsafe Conditions.
- Supports the 5S culture in Vinda Malaysia following best practices, specially in his department and daily activities.
- Keeps himself updated about SAFETY, QUALITY and MAINTENANCE related training modules, attending assigned courses in VMA and is responsible, together with his/her superior, to identify technical gaps and request for technical trainings.
- Keeps himself updated and follow new work instructions and standard operating procedures making use of latest registered forms.
- Communicates and updates activities performance and any issues encountered on time to his peers and direct superior, working in team with production, mechanical maintenance and process to facilitate proper information is shared across cross-functional departments within manufacturing.
- To follow the given rules of Breakdown Escalation Plan and the relevant terms of its applications.
- Audits and maintain relevant items listed in Quality Golden Rules to ensure there are no malfunction or by-pass at any of the quality gates in the process.
- Maintain close communication with machine Team Leaders and supports production to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Is the first resource from electrical maintenance department to attend unplanned downtimes and trouble-shooting activities in production, including Process Filters, IETS (Industrial Effluent Treatment System), auxiliary equipment’s and air compressors when necessary.
- Responsible for the effective utilization of the electrical workshop and maintenance of workshop equipment.
- Any other relevant task assigned his/her superior
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Electrical Maintenance Technician in an automated manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- ‘Hands-On’ experience is vital.
- Working knowledge of PLC and Servo Motor Systems is an appreciable value.
- Basic knowledge in one or more of theses systems : Siemens Step 7, Siemens TIA, Rockwell Studio 5000, Mitsubishi Plc GX series, is an additional advantage.
- Basic knowledge in industrial networks Profibus/MPI, Profinet, Device Net, Ethernet, CC-Link.
