Job Description :
- Responsible for supervising or executing all electrical activities in the installation, such as maintenance execution, power generation and safety work, ensuring their register on CMMS, acting as RPE for that assigned vessel, maintaining a high standard of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, in order to contribute so that all electrical equipment and systems are operational and preserved for the assigned unit.
- Supervise, follow up and participate in all services and operations related to the Electrical discipline, acting as RPE for the assigned vessel, in order to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery in the unit, as well as emergency equipment, thus contributing to the production and revenue target achievement.
- Contribute to an effective response to emergencies on board by being part of the Emergency Response Team, participating in all trainings, simulations and acting properly in a real situation, in accordance with MODEC's procedures, guidelines, as well as national and international regulations and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with the Safety (HSEQ), PTW and Task Risk Assessment (TRA) policies, isolation standard and delivery of equipment after maintenance, keeping informed of all updates in the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring the same by the team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of MdB fleet performance by participating on, when requested, RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up or acting upon CAPAs, sharing lessons learned and promoting a culture of continuous seek for performance and integrity enhancement opportunities.
- Guarantee the proper use of Technical Support departments, by ensuring that technical queries are properly identified, recorded in the system and always directed to Onshore departments for review/study, promoting a culture adherent to the company's systems.
- Contribute to people management on board by displaying fair leadership, effective communication, providing performance evaluation, competence assessment, performing mentoring, coaching, training and career guidance meetings and feedbacks, periodically and under demand, implementing a culture of knowledge sharing, thus promoting the development of all Electrical team.
- Ensure the alignment of the employees with Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community, Suppliers and Modec do Brazil Executive Team, by leading and engaging them, providing technical and behavioral guidance and feedbacks sessions and clarifying the Career Path, in accordance with MdB's procedures and guides.
- Contribute to enhance MODEC's procedures, by constantly evaluating the department activities and seeking improvement opportunities, sharing lessons learned with Technical Support departments and Operations leadership, participating in procedures' review, following MODEC's Maintenance Philosophy, manufacturer recommendation, and personnel experience.
- Contribute so that all Safety Critical Equipment are fully functional, or mitigations are enforced in order to guarantee asset and personnel’s safety by supervising, performing and ensuring timely closeout of SCE job orders, coaching the team about the SCE principals and promoting a culture that doesn’t tolerate any safety critical deviation.
- Act proactively to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by ensuring MODEC's procedures, internal and external regulations, national and international standards are followed by both Electrical core crew and 3rd parties on board, participating in audits and inspections in the unit, developing and ensuring the implementation of action plans when required.
- Contribute to the proper planning of offshore activities by supporting Planner Offshore and Maintenance Supt in the prioritization and scheduling of services to be performed onboard, participating in discussions along with other Offshore leaderships, when requested, and duly approving all WOs for Electrical works on the CMMS.
- Ensure the proper communication regarding the activities developed onboard, by filling up, on daily basis the OIM Daily Report, with information relevant to maintenance and sharing them with unit's leadership.
- Contribute so that designated onshore department may properly act as Functional Managers of Electrical team for that unit, by ensuring the adherence of the department to Technical standards, guidelines and recommendations set by Technical Support department, as well as liaising with them during People management processes, as set by MdB People department.
- Assure the operation and maintenance (electrical wise) of the Gas Turbines Generators, Diesel Generators (Emergency and Essential), UPS (Uninterrupted Power System) and Battery Bank, performing the data collection and cross check of the parameters on daily basis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Discipline-specific Technical Degree is required, bachelor’s degree of discipline-specific Engineering is a competitive edge (electrical/electrotechnical).
- Minimum 8 years' overall experience is expected;
- Previous experience in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas area is expected.
- Previous experience in a leadership position is a competitive edge.
