Job summary

Guan Chong Cocoa Manufacturer Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor, seeks a Maintenance Executive to lead electrical maintenance of powder production lines, focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 1 year hands-on experience with motors, MCCs, PLCs, and control panels; travel may be required for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, especially with industrial motors, MCCs, PLCs and control panels.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to read electrical schematics and perform root-cause analysis.
• Experience with PLC programming, control panel assembly and instrumentation.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capability coordinating external vendors and contractors.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven environments and strict safety protocols.
• Willingness to travel locally or internationally for equipment commissioning, installations, or technical support.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions under time pressure.
• Lead and mentor technicians and contractors to ensure safety and quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve process efficiency through electrical upgrades and automation enhancements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS and generate reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements.
